You will choose stairs or up-slope path?
When climbing a mountain, if one side is stone grade and the other side is a small slope, which side will you take?
Some people do not like the stairs pointing out that to lift the thigh is really too tired. So even if the ladder was built, tourists still go to the side of the trail. The trail widened and widened as new trails were created. Because of a long time of trampling, so that the original grass was trampled to grass is not long. Without the help of plants, they rushed out of the hole when it rained.
It is also important to consider “human interaction” when maintaining trails. Professor xu ming-chien suggests that no more than 15cm is the most ideal for each level, but it still depends on the actual environment to calculate the ideal level height and depth. So even if the mountain path is very beautiful, but if the visitors feel difficult to walk, it is still easy to give up the original road and find my way.
We believe that the design of the mountain path in the future will take more consideration of the interactive elements of people. But these also need the cooperation of all the mountain friends. Please remember to “walk on the right road”, and protect the planting on both sides of the mountain path, ok?
Reservoir Islands Viewpoint
Walk 10 minutes further and you will see the sign for Reservoir Islands Viewpoint. It shows you to turn left to the viewing platform where the wonderful views are inside.

In order to maintain harmony with the natural environment, the road leading to the Reservoir Islands Viewpoint was constructed with timber from trees collapsed in the typhoon and the traditional Chinese method of “tenoning”. No nails were needed to stabilize the road.
