(2023 年 11 月 28 日新聞稿) 立法會環境事務委員會於 11 月 28 日討論「生產者責任計劃」(下稱計劃)的共同法律框架 [1]。 新的生產者責任計劃首先會涵蓋塑膠飲品容器和紙包飲品盒,然後再擴展至充電池、汽車電池、輪呔等產品。

(2023年11月4日 專欄) 行政長官李家超在星期三發表《施政報告》，宣讀時間歷時200分鐘，比近月大熱的電影《Oppenheimer》來得還要長，也創下歷屆之最。可是在云云政策之中，環境及新能源方面的政策卻著墨不多。鑑於近月接連發生水浸、酷暑等氣候災害，公眾愈來愈關注氣候變化對香港的影響，可是在施政報告中少有相關政策，這不免令筆者憂慮當局對氣候議題的重視程度，以及對應的環境新政力度不足，未必能應對氣候變化及協助市民準備廢物徵費。

On the 18th October 2023, the Legislative Council of Hong Kong made an impactful decision that will shape the city’s environmental landscape for years to come. Lawmakers passed a law to ban single-use plastic items, marking a significant step towards a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future. This monumental legislation will come into effect on the 22nd April 2024, which will be Earth Day, making it a truly memorable occasion.

(2023年11月1日 專欄) 行政長官李家超剛發表任內第二份《施政報告》，雖然對環境政策着墨不多，但值得一提的是，當局似乎會祭出「生產者責任制」來遏止塑膠飲品容器和紙包飲品盒繼續氾濫。綠惜地球歡迎立法建議，惟希望當局能「前事不忘，後事之師」，阻止「膠災」繼續蔓延。

Although Chief Executive John Lee’s second Policy Address, delivered on Wednesday, touched on environmental issues, there is a need for the government to speed up its policy implementation and legislation progress. It also needs progressive and proactive environmental policies to address the imminent climate crisis.

Last week, Hong Kong announced that disposable plastic tableware in restaurants, and some other plastic products, would be banned from Earth Day 2024 – April 22.

今日是香港山徑日，綠惜地球自2019年起，於每年10月26日麥理浩徑生日前後，舉行「香港山徑日」系列活動，藉著進行各類型公眾活動，推廣愛惜郊野和天然山徑景觀，合力守護大自然之美。今年山徑日，綠惜地球出版香港首本探討可持續山徑的書，書名為《看不見的山徑—香港可持續山徑之初探》。

（2023年10月16日新聞稿） 氣候危機日益加劇，香港近期不單打破多個酷熱紀錄，更出現世紀黑色暴雨、短時間內迎來多個颱風等極端天氣，凸顯香港須盡快大幅且持續減排，並提高應對氣候變化能力，以保障市民及下一代的可持續發展。17個團體聯合向特首李家超提交政策建議書，並召開聯合記者會，強烈要求立即採取更進取的氣候行動。

Within two hours on Thursday night, the Hong Kong Observatory had exhausted the rainstorm warnings it could issue: amber, red and black. The observatory attributed the heavy downpours around the city to the trough of low pressure associated with Typhoon Haikui, although that storm, unlike Typhoon Saola, had not made landfall on Hong Kong.
